Vsync, this is good share. How do you deal with a coin that's dropping in value? Do you put stops and exit? The downward spiral might wipe profits.

Yeah that's part of the risk.. the way I've mitigated that is by putting more time into researching cryptos that have the highest likelihood of the most spikes and only going for those.

ie. if you regularly check to see if any of them have spiked a few times in the past few days, I'll go for that with the hopes it's going to continue.

Thank you. Good share.

This is a simple way to make money with crypto.. anyone can do this, and it's better than normal trading (from a risk v reward point of view).. this is in fact a form or arbitrage really, and I've personally made a good amount of money from this.

I've always found that the key to making money in the crypto space is your ability to observe things. There's opportunities floating around all the time, with a bit of creative thinking you'll eventually spot ways to make some good money.

The basis of this idea is that when you observe certain exchanges you see a bit of a pattern that is very interesting when you consider what it means. Here's an example:

These spikes in price might look like not much, but when you calculate the difference in price from the base of one of them to the top you'll see that the large one starts at 1.67 and peaks at 1.91 which is an increase of 14% within a split second.

I personally traded this period a few weeks ago and made good money from it. As you can see, over the course of a couple of days there are multiple spikes like this, and while you're not guaranteed to catch one of these, if you do then you basically sell your crypto at 10%+ more than what the actually price is on CMC and other exchanges.

For a concrete example, here is what the corresponding chart for the same period of time looks like on Binance for the same asset:

Notice that on Binance, CRV still generally moves in the same way but the huge spikes are completely missing... what does that mean.

What it means is that when you catch one of these split second pumps in price, you've just sold your crypto significantly higher than the actual price on Binance etc and so you can very easily now just transfer the USDT/BTC/ETH you just sold it for to Binance, then rebuy CRV, and you will now have a free 10%/14% etc on top without taking any risk at all.

What's the drawback of this though? The drawback is that you have to put some research into finding which places have this phenonmenon as well as finding the assets that are most likely to have these mini pumps happening, then you have to buy and hold some of the asset on that exchange, then you have to keep on moving it up or down depending on the movements in price.

Sounds like a lot to do.. not really actually. I do that in the background while working on other things, just set alarms on Tradingview above and below the current price and then check whenever they're broken.

Over the course of a week I hit about 8 or 9 of these across different assets.. each time getting a free 5% - 20%, and when that's compounded it really builds up.

If you're wondering why the fuck anyone would continually keep buying up a load of crypto at above the market rate like this, it's something that is much more in depth than a discussion on how to simply make a bit of extra crypto cash, but what you might find really interesting is looking at what also happened some days after the period shown above:

This isn't exclusive to Kraken, and it certainly isn't exclusive to CRV. I will tell you though that in the lead up to bull runs this happens a lot.. in fact I traded EOS and other cryptos in 2017 in exactly the same way for months as it went down to ~0.50 and then started climbing and caught a lot of these mini pumps back then too.

Hope this helps someone to make a buck or two.
Could not we just set TP in a specific level and when prices spikes hits the TP then we get profit ?

There's a lot of different things you can do that would probably optimise this.. just putting forward the way I've successfully done it.

Just to drive home my point a bit that this is systematic, here are some of my own personal tradingview images I got my VA to create when thoroughly looking for which cryptoassets on Kraken also experience this opportunity.

For anyone that's actually serious about making a few thousand a week from this, this would be the first logical step so I've removed that hurdle for you and saved you a bit of time.

Has someone downloaded the graphics and would send them to me, unfortunately the link is no longer available. Thank you so much!

@VSYNC, could you please PM me since I'm not able to PM you due to my post count/status. I've got a couple questions that I'd like to ask you, all around cryptocurrencies. Would be much appreciated.

¿Todavía tienes los gráficos? Me gustaría echar un vistazo más de cerca a esta estrategia y cómo configuro todo.

anybody using any bots or arbritage to autotrade?

Clever new idea based on an old concept....need an asset with recurring high volitility...Thank you for this share.

Forgive Me For I am Noob :).
I read OP, but it was hard to me to understand this process.

1. The spike happened in Kraken (pair CRV/USD) and not in Binance (pair CRV/TetherUS). It's platforms market related spike, and not pair related as I understand?

2. "What it means is that when you catch one of these split second pumps in price "
How do you sell at that peak? If you buy your asset and do autosell (stop-loss), how you determine selling price, how much it will go up?

3. How to determine that some particular coin would likely will have this "spike"? I cannot download your re-uploaded TradingViewCharts.zip. I am getting in wetransfer:
We're nearly ready...
No expiration date
And greyd download button.
