Summertime in New Jersey was playing wiffle ball until we broke all the balls we had at home (my Father owned a store that sold them so we replenished easily), throwing a hard ball around in the street, heading down to the docks to see what the boats caught at around 4 PM, walking to the beach and sneaking on without paying the daily fee (and getting caught doing that half the time), going to the boardwalk to people watch and mowing the lawn with a push lawnmower that should be illegal to own if you had any decent sized property.
Best childhood ever.
