Suing Paypal

10 years its been fine. For the past 3 years, I have had transactions for over $500k. I don't see any reason why they would ban me. If they limit me again, why wouldn't I be able to just send in the requested documents again?
Everyone having Paypal issues have one thing I common, they have previously been banned for breaking tos.
It is not a temporary limitation. Once they permanently limit you, not ak for verification but actually ban your account, you get this notice

I called them and they are not allowed to tell my why. Once I mentioned lawyer they gave me the appropriate information for sending a subpoena

good luck doubt anything will come of this

keep us informed of your progress tho

Most people forget about it, especially with small amounts. so I know they bank off that after that time period expires, usually in the US after 365 days or 5 years. I cant remember.

What was you selling to get $1600 in either 1 lump or what services / products did you sell and how many in what time frame to get $1600 (inc the value)

IF you are happy to share some light on that maybe someone here or me can give you a clue to why you was limited..

All the best. Hope you get the fund back from PayPal.

Boss!! That's a huge amount. Massive respect to you.

What industry are you into? E-com?

cool,
now go make a blog out of it, get some PR and media coverage, get people involved in ur crusade; tell them everything about what papal is doing, collect evidence and post it, make the blog huge and sell it to PP for $1,600k, and include 180 days domain transfer clause

Good luck dude let us know how it goes. By the way, the laughing emoji that I left on the op doesn’t reflect my true feelings towards your post, I just wanted to try out the new emoji as soon as I noticed it :D

Good luck, OP!
As for those who are asking why they hold the money for 180 days, they do that because of the potential chargebacks that could happen during that time. I am not 100% sure, but almost all of the banks allow you to chargeback within 6 months of the purchase. They hold the money, so that they don't end up paying from their own pocket.

Rooting for you buddy, give em what they deserve

My advice is try to class action lawsuit.

So many people are in the same boat.

What exactly were you selling? Do you own a company? Otherwise, they will not even read it.

- Had my personal account with multiple chargebacks I initiated as PayPal said they could not do anything, still have that account, and no issues.
- Business account under business name(EIN etc) also no issues, send in info as required
- As @Gogol said 180 days for possible chargebacks
- Yes they can be a PITA to deal with sometimes but mostly it is just something you did not know was in the TOS , so why is the blame on them not you for not reading them?

Also
- How do you see to get monetary compensation? How are you claiming that for small claims? Since you are not using a lawyer, what costs can you share?
- In the end, if it is like other places they can not show like 2 times, 3rd they send a lawyer and in the end you will get your money by then given how slow things move with rescheduling in small claims, let alone now...
....
