Suing Paypal

I don't get all the Paypal bitching.. Whats the problem? Just don't break their tos. Send ID documentation if you get limited and they will remove the limit in a few days.. Been using Paypal for 10 years and never had any issues. Been limited 2 times, sent ID first time and it was fine. Second time I had to send proof of address.
You will get it one day. Don't worry ;)

Good luck man!

I was happy when they lost the case back then with Zepeda Vs. Paypal for wrongfully handling ebay and chargeback disputes.

But that was a class action small claims is much different

Edit: either way Fuck em

Good luck with this! I hope they will slow down with these abuses.

Well, that part was weird because then I asked them if I could create another account just to try to play dumb and yolo'd it. Then they told me that this AUP violation was just for this account and I could as long as I don't do the same behavior again.... The same behavior which I don't know what I did lmao

I had the same problem with my old account which I created when I was under 18. When I reached 2,5k euro limit (was 18 at the time) I was asked to KYC verify my account. I changed my date of birth, but of course, they noticed and said that my account is being closed.

The most interesting part is that they allowed me to instantly withdraw funds to my bank account and the support guy said that I can use PayPal but under another email address. I guess the support guy was cool about it and let me slide.

If you don't violate their TOS they will never ban your account. My current account turnover is nearly 100k and no problems so far. I had lost some disputes (~1k euro in total) but I don't blame PayPal because it was my fault that I was dumb and trusted the wrong people.

Anyway, good luck, I'm sure you will get all the answers.

All the best. And don't forget to claim 1 Billion dollar for mental harassment for holding funds by paypal

I watch as it unfolds. Best wishes and keep us updated

Goodluck! I wish someone would sue ebay lol theyre quick to suspend an account a day before auctions finish for no good reason too

- Had my personal account with multiple chargebacks I initiated as PayPal said they could not do anything, still have that account, and no issues.
- Business account under business name(EIN etc) also no issues, send in info as required
- As @Gogol said 180 days for possible chargebacks
- Yes they can be a PITA to deal with sometimes but mostly it is just something you did not know was in the TOS , so why is the blame on them not you for not reading them?

Also
- How do you see to get monetary compensation? How are you claiming that for small claims? Since you are not using a lawyer, what costs can you share?
- In the end, if it is like other places they can not show like 2 times, 3rd they send a lawyer and in the end you will get your money by then given how slow things move with rescheduling in small claims, let alone now...
....

Well, my main thing is wondering WHY they did it and they said they cannot tell me why, but I can open an account and just if I don't do what I did..... which they won't tell me unless they get a subpoena
I got a heavy kyc verification a little while ago which i passed and Ive done like 30k within the last few months with them no problems. Then they hit e out of nowhere when i get $1600

I still think they will either ay me after the small claims court ir still make me wait 180 days. I am doing it with this company https://fairshake.com/paypal/how-to-sue/ They take 20% of the claim if successful and I just have to show up to court and explain my side of the story.
Since it is under $2k I doubt they will send anyone in which will be fine for me and will probably take the L on it

I really hate paypal, more power to you. Lets us know how it goes

That site to ma looks like the guys you can hire to show up there for you...I did not see any of them being lawyers so to me looks like they tell you what to do and for that they get 20% ... Car accident lawyers that negotiate settlements usually take 30,%...
From own experience you can have the other party make excuses, I remember 2 times and the 3 it just settled then...yet you have to also show up all 3 times... So it's just as much a PITA for you.

Either way good luck

Any update? Did you loose the money without full explanation?
