For the past year or so I've been working on a personal tech site without thinking too much on link building, SEO or stuff like that. I managed to reach a rather low 40-50 unique visitors per day, even though I try to post original articles and even managed to make a few reviews (with a few more undergoing right now).

I think that it is time to actually think of growing the site, get backlinks and improve site ranking. I had a few articles that managed to generate some links from other sites/forums which definitely helped, but only very few.

I've been reading this forum for quite a while and I saw some really cool black-hat SEO techniques (like building your own PBN), but I would like to restrain as much as possible from blackhat methods. So, after a lot of thinking, I finally made the courage to ask here for help. What tips or suggestions can you give me that will help gain more readers? if anyone is interested, the site inchina.tech

Before you start worrying about purchasing any packages, I'd suggest starting with:
  • Start doing some more detailed KW research for easy, medium traffic keywords to craft your tech blog posts around. Will promote more organic traffic
  • Guest blog outreach for similar tech blogs in your niche / local vicinity. This will be for reaching a larger audience and getting the backlinks from these sites
Whitehat SEO is definitely safer than blackhat but just takes more effort on your part.

Best of luck bro!

Thanks for your suggestions. I did try to reach a few other tech blogs for guest posting, but so far only managed to get one. Most don't even reply back, and I am not talking about the high-profile ones like Engadget or The verge. Is there a secret ingredient on making them accept a guest post?
