Hi guys,

Not sure where this one should go, so the lounge it is.

I have a client that needs to sell tickets to a dance music festival of his to a geo located and age targeted audience. He has a reasonable budget but here's the f****r, the festival is in 15 days, so the clock is ticking.

I have some ideas of course, but I would love to hear your suggestions as they will no doubt be more ingenious than anything I can think of.

Radio including online stations, and don't forget about local Pirate stations.
Also flyers handed to people outside Dance clubs.

Promote it as an event on Last.FM, SongKick and use the Spotify Apps.

Please, anyone correct me if it's a bad idea. Pandora sells ads right? I'm a normal 25 yr old that only listens to podcasts and online music of different sorts. Radio is dying a slow death, especially with young people.

Depends on the certain age group, but if it's students then naturally colleges/universities are good places to hand out flyers. Also contacting the student union of the university is useful, they usually sell advertisement space on emails that go to every student, which is what I've used before and got good response.

Apart from that, I think W130SN and iamsolo pretty much covered it.

Spotify, bandcamp promotion on related artists pages. Even on soundcloud a lot of artists lists their upcoming gigs. Your friend should ask the help of the artists who are on the bill with this...
