when you go to google and put in race car, you get some images and then some videos

how do i get my videos to show up for a search phrase that shows no video's in the 1st few search results ??

i have 1000 comments, 20k views, ratings, what is needed to get the videos to show up ??

thanks in advance

btw, i looked at that other video learning series where the guy said to video reply to a popular video, but does anyone have any other ideas ?

use your main keyword in the beginning of the title, description and the tags and you would need a decent amount of ratings too

Going after a broad keyword like "race cars" has a lot of competition, even a video with 1000 comments, 20k views and ratings is no match for a youtube video with over 2 million views..... I did a search for you on "race cars" on page 3 on this end in Australia there is a video with over 2mill hits.

What i normally do is go after long-tail keywords, which are keywords with more words like, race car decals or race car chassis design ect. These keywords tend to have way less competition. Then i find a youtube videos on the first 10 pages of search results. Once i find a video i try and beat the amount of views that video has and i know im well on my way to out ranking it on google.

But thats not all you need to do, you do need a good title, filled with your keywords, have a shit load of tags relating to your keyword and also have a big long description with as many keywords as you can without over saturating them. If you are selling a product or are just wanting to get traffic to your website, be sure to have the website as the very first thing you have in your description, and put h t tp:// in front of it, this will make it clickable.

Having backlinks is a good idea, but i have generally found that i can get videos with long tail keywords ranking high on google with only just the natural backlinks you pick up over a period of time.... but when going after higher competative keywords you will want to actively go out and get backlinks also.

Hope this info helps :)
