suggestions on what to do with ebook?

You retain the rights to the content of your self-published eBook since you wrote it. Unfortunately, not everyone abides by the restrictions established by this built-in layer of defence. In other words, someone may steal your work and disseminate it under their own name. Due to how much simpler it is to swipe and duplicate digital information than it is to copy conventionally printed content, electronic copies of books are particularly vulnerable to these offenders. To assist prevent this piracy, the following Copyright eBook legislation has been passed.

It depends on the ebook. You should focus your time on something you're confident provides valuable information, that's not exactly easy to get. Diet is a very saturated niche with a lot of information for free. So you need to come up with an angle that captures people's attention. Something like "How to lose weight by watching porn". Something like that. If it's just "how to lose weight" i really don't five a fuck. If interested, i can just google it.
People won't even want your ebook for free unless the concept is very, very, very appealing. Not that the ebook isn't good. It's just that...there is soooooo much free, easy to access information on every god damn thing that downloading anything at all is most of the time not worth it.

Welll its a good idea to offer it as a lead capture for email but maybe if its a very good book you can create a product of it and list it on affiliate networks like clickbank or why not try to sell it as a product on your email list etc

well, my idea is to capture leads and offer some product with an affiliate, but I was thinking of selling it for a not very high price.

Well maybe try to sell it for a low price to see how it goes and if you dont see any results use it as a lead capture

You have 2 options - write a really good ebook and sell it for $1 or give it away for free.
On both occasions, fill the ebook with affiliate links where it looks natural.
If you sell it for $1 then you will get way less people in your "funnel" but they are super quality people cause they have a cc and money.
On the other hand, if you give it away for free then you get tons more traffic to your aff links and have more time to build up trust to make the people who weren't keen on paying $1 to pay for the aff products.
I have done the free route but haven't tested the $1 way.
The $1 route is better if you want to sell high ticket items and work with clients who are more "quality".
