Working on a negative reputation project. Client had trouble with the law in the past. Nothing super serious.
But now his name is plastered with old news articles (from authoritative sources) on Google that I need to burry down. Need to suppress links on google search (6 links), google news (4 links) and images (7 pics)
Been building websites, links, content, directory listing and social profiles. Been able to push a few links down, but a few days later Google pushes these right back up. It's like going in circles.

Any advice you can share is welcomed. Need help to get results that stick.
Also willing to collaborate with anyone with experience and expertise to suppress/remove links.

Thanks

I request @davids355 to help move to the ORM section.

Getting a local Lawyer is one effective way to go about total remover - This could be more expensive depending on location but results are worth it.

Not going through that route? Follow the footprint - If he's ranking for local news websites - Find competing local pages and write optimized pages about him.

Since these get literally no competition. You should TIER UP your target pages.

Thread moved.

In order to suppress newspapers you need high quality sites. Directories are not quality. Anything that can be spammed should be avoided because it's easy for Google to devalue.

We focus on relationship-based content and links. Send emails, call the publisher, connect on LinkedIn, find a way to get in touch with a person directly and see what their policies are about content and links. Some want money, some don't do anything paid but will listen to a pitch. Figure out how you can make it a win-win and you'll get much better content published on higher quality sites. Once you've figured that out, do it 1000+ times and you'll be a suppression expert!

You can't remove a link just b/c you're hurt by it. If the situation is real, definitely not.

You'll either need to pay the site to remove itor pay someone to create news/ content that pushes it out of view.

that's the price of public mistakes

Of course there are lots more ways. If its above your grade They might get pricey. You could sub it out.
