I have mixed feelings about this keyword...
On one hand, the metrics of the sites that are ranking in top 5 are very beatable (with the right amount of SEO I mean).
But then I look at the names that are ranking in top 5 and I start getting afraid
Plus, from experience I know that keywords that start with "best" and have 20k monthly searches are usually hard to rank as a newbie....
All in all, I would stay away from this keyword, but that's because I'm a scaredy cat and I've never had big budgets for SEO. But if you know you can set aside $500-600 per month for 9-12 months (maybe less depending on what niche we are talking about) you might be tempted to pursue this KW...

There are 5 authority blogs rankings for this keyword.
So if i were to buy an EMD for this keyword the budget to rank this keyword is $500, considering there are 5 authority sites ranking for this keyword.I have mixed feelings about this keyword...

The tools are for reference only, and we should combine tools together for best results. Google keywords are still the best.

Check the keyword on google and check top ranking pages. Can you beat them? Check their backlink history to know how much you will have to spend for ranking the term.

EMDs can help, but I don't know whether you'll rank or not. You need to do competition analysis to figure out how you can beat them. And the $500 was just a number I came up with, in reality (which - again - depends on the research you do on your competitors) you might need $100, or $10k. I said $500 because that's what I would be comfortable having to invest (as a minimum) to try and rank for that keyword
