As announced in the changelog, badges for Executive VIPs, Jr. Executive VIPs, and Premium Members are still being looked into. In the meantime, what we want to do is add more titles to this ladder for those of you at the following message count.

Before I share the user title ladder with everyone, "messages" is your post count.

Anyway, here's the current user title ladder that we have here on Black Hat World:
  • Newbie Member = 0-49 messages
  • Registered Member = 50-99 messages
  • Junior Member = 100-199 messages
  • Regular Member = 200-499 messages
  • Power Member = 500-799 messages
  • Senior Member = 800-1,199 messages
  • Supreme Member = 1200-1,499 messages
  • Elite Member = 1,500+ messages
To start, we'd like to add 4 new titles at the following message counts:
  • _________ = 2,000-2,999 messages
  • _________ = 3,000-3,999 messages
  • _________ = 4,000-4,999 messages
  • _________ = 5,000+ messages
Since we're looking for new suggestions. Instead, the top suggestions from this thread (based on what gets the most likes) will be the ones we consider.

One I really like is "Royal Member" at the 5,000 message count threshold (special thanks to @Lukmat and @UnusualSubstance for suggesting that).

- Iconic Member
- Veteran Member
- Senior Executive

For me personally, the most important one... I think we should consider adding "Hall Of Fame Member", because, it's a way to pay respect and honor some of the older members who are no longer with us but played a significant role in our community. They deserve to have "HOF" under their names, just my 2 cents.

Here are four new membership title suggestions based on the message counts:

1. **Veteran Member** = 2,000-2,999 messages
2. **Master Member** = 3,000-3,999 messages
3. **Legendary Member** = 4,000-4,999 messages
4. **Royal Member** = 5,000+ messages

Feel free to adjust or suggest alternatives based on community feedback!

Just my opinion, I am not sure if this is a good idea? Imagine the amount of spam to get to 5k messages.

I really like this.

I’d like to add on & maybe suggest something like:

Royal Member - 5,000 posts.
Transcendent Member - 10,000 posts.

Or alternatively even:

Visionary Member - 10,000 posts.
Pioneer Member - 10,000 posts.

I’m loving the ideas in the thread so far @Zwielicht

Don’t worry. We’re pretty good at catching this. If you see it, always report it, and we’ll dig into the situation.

This is always a concern with gamifying anything: it's going to naturally attract people spamming just to get the title. Think of it like adding in a new badge in a game: you're always going to get people trying to cheat their way to the new badge. However, that shouldn't be a reason to not add the badge.

I'm not going to deny that we're going to see an increase in people spamming to get the new titles. I don't personally believe it's going to be many people, but those who do will receive a warning as we have an excellent moderation team in place along with members who report these issues as they come up.
Is not royal member too much of a title?
It might be, but how do you feel like it's too much and what issues do you see arising from a title having a title that's too much?

Transcendent Member - 10,000 posts.

Or alternatively even:

Visionary Member - 10,000 posts.
Pioneer Member - 10,000 posts.
Maybe even all 3 with the same # of posts, but add "how long ago was acc created" in ifs.
Like, if it's registered in the past year + 10k posts = 'Transcendent', in the past 5 years + 10k = 'Pioneer', in the past 7 years + 10k = 'Native'. Random numbers, but you get the point.

Sounds more to me than a Jr. Vip/Jr. Exec/ etc
That's an interesting way to look at it.

I can understand not wanting to overshadow what Jr. VIP, Exec, and Jr. Exec are; even if those usergroups are no longer titles. I think this is something to take into consideration with the new titles. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the matter.

I'd suggest introducing a nobility-themed title ladder quite related to HoF as mentioned above by @MrDenz for members who reach higher message counts, starting from 2,000 messages onwards. This would add a sense of prestige and recognition for our most active and dedicated members. How it could look:
  • Duke/Duchess = 2,000-2,999 messages
  • Prince/Princess = 3,000-3,999 messages
  • King/Queen = 4,000-4,999 messages
  • Emperor/Empress = 5,000+ messages

Is not royal member too much of a title?
I think that’s the point of being Royal Member , it’s too much for a title , so the person who own this title , It will be someone royal important for the community.

Edit : It could also be just a rank that is granted directly by the staff and not acquired by an X number of posts.

I don't think anyone could actually differentiate between these titles if I'm being honest.

12 of them are too many, and they all sound very similar.

EDIT: OG sounds great for the final level. Remove the "member" from the end too.
