Suggestions needed between AMD and Intel..........

This is the tower: http://www.coolermaster.com/case/full-tower/haf-x/

Motherboard: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/M5A97/

It's been 6 months - there is probably a better motherboard out there.

looks like the M/B you use is still the best around even though there have been new launches :)

Go with Intel. For IM you don't need an i7 unless you are running GSA on it with high threads. Go with the following setup if you aren't into Gaming

Processor : Intel 3.2 GHz LGA 1150 4570 i5
Ram : 8 GB RAM is sufficient but if you want you can go with 16 GB. I would rather spend that extra on SSD.
SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120 GB
Hard Drive : WD Blue 1 TB(Can get more if you want)
Motherboard : Gigabyte GA-Z87-D3HP Motherboard
Power Supply : Seasonic S12II 620 Watts PSU
CPU Cooler - Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM
Case - NZXT H440 ATX Mid Tower Case
Monitors - 2 Dell 21 Inch(24 inch is better)

All available on Flipkart and Amazon.

so this configuration not enough for GSA?

how about 16GB added?

Its obviously good enough but more the better. For GSA you need more cores than RAM. Its a 32 bit application so RAM isn't important. That should be enough to run at sufficient amount of threads but if you are looking for 500 to 1000 threads then get an i7 4770k which will cost you 7k rs more than the current one which I listed. But GSA works better on a dedicated server which you can rent as you need a good bandwidth too otherwise its not possible to even surf while GSA is running on your computer as it takes up a lot of bandwidth.

So you recommend me this SMPS:Seasonic S12II 620 Watts PSU rather than the normal SMPS the PC supplier gives us?

also how much do you think this all setup you suggested me cost in Rupees?

Its better to go with aftermarket PSU because they perform much better. So go with that one which I mentioned as it got some great reviews too and Seasonic is best in PSU industry. Some might say that PSU is an overkill but its quite future proof too just incase you plan to upgrade to i7 later or plan on gaming which needs dedicated cooler:P

Excluding the 2 monitors(9k each) the price would come around 50 to 55k Rs. You can check the current prices on flipkart and amazon.in and see how much the total comes to which should be just around that

So i am looking to buy a desktop and have like $1200 budget.....read some i5 reviews and they seemed promising but its the AMD FX 8350 which caught my eye.....i am not into gaming and stuff but still need a powerful PC....suggest me plz......also heard that AMD processor get heated pretty quickly and not last long is this true?
going to buy keeping all the SEO tools available on this planet lol plus other IM tools...
YOU have $1, 200, go and get 128gb ram, a 5 gb ddr5 gfx card, a 4 ghz quad core i7, a nvidia quadro, nvidia tesla and a 4k 85"" monitor and you'll still have $300 left!

SSD = 2.5" MICROSD card

SSD used to stand for solid state drive when talking abouts PCs...

This guy got it right. The only thing which I would add is that most of the parts would be cheaper on eBay
