Suggestions for onpage SEO with wp-robot

i have learned about off page seo in the few months since ive started online and am starting to get the feel for it.

ive recently gone back and started digging through my actual on page seo and it could sure use some improvement.

my main site is a autoblog run by wprobot. it is a mix of rss news articles, youtube vids, and amazon posts. looking through the source, i can see that there is essentially nothing at all being done with html tags (h1, h2, strong, meta tags etc) or image alt text, or url canonization, or redirects and similar things.

have tried searching around but cant seem to find a solid guide to this sort of stuff. mostly just vague "its important to have" type things.

any suggestions for onsite optimization in general and especially with wprobot would be great.

Couple thoughts. First, if you're not automagically spinning WPR's posts, you should. It helps.

Second, I would suggest you look at:

Simple Tags - a WP plugin that, among other things, looks for keywords in your posts that match tags you have in your site and converts those keywords into links to the tag page for the KW. That plugin plus Strictly Autotags makes for some awesomeness.

Second, you might want to check out blogsense. I really like this app, it can use WPR shortcodes for starters, can do a lot of manipulation of your data, and overall is tres cool. I've only scratched the surface of what it can do. But from what I've seen firsthand, it might be a very good investment for you.

I use "All in One SEO" "Easy WP SEO" "SEO smartlinks" "SEO Search Terms 2" "SEO Friendly Images" and "Strictly Auto Tags" on my AB. For the content I write myself, I spend time making sure all the proper on on and off page SEO is 100%. Hope this helps. Oh and off topic a cool plugin that allows you to insert certain php or html is "header and footer" I really like this plugin for inserting different functions like footer ads etc...

i use the best spinner and an obfuscation plugin on the auto posts.

thanks for the tips, i have some similar plugins running but they were just an impulse install that i havent really looked into much.
