This is a new situation for me, and will try to keep this brief.
There was an old site/social network I use to work for back in 2007-2008 but it pretty much dissipated over the years. Today it came back to mind & wondered where it was at... found it being auctioned off over at GoDaddy. Unfortunately, I cannot get in contact with the prior owner too see if I could just buy it outright.
Some positives:
It has a few sites linking back from 2008, one from problogger & another from techcrunch.
It has existing social network presence/profiles on Fb, twitter, etc. not huge followings, but better than nothing.
It closes in a couple days, doesn't have many views at all... so I think I could realistically win this auction. Righty now it's at $3XX
Is it worth pursuing? What stats/requirements do you look at before making a decision if a site on auction is worthwhile?
