Suggestion please

Recently i have started a forum in health niche and i want to get some members, I m planning to start a few campaigns, i don't have any experience with this. I want to CPM advertising(banner) through adwords, can i link directly to my forum homepage or do i need to create a landing page for this as well.

Don't have that much of time. Busy with other projects.
That's the reason for adwords

Forums are a bitch. I have set up a couple for computer sites. The forum itself, unless you are gifted, takes time to manage. The more people involved the more maintenance.

Getting people to a new forum is very hard, even when the SEO is right, people do not go to a forum unless there is a large active membership, except to spam them.

My hat is off to anyone that runs a successful forum.

That said, if it were me I would consider a PPV campaign targeting the sites (and other forums) in the niche.
