Suggestion For GSA SER

The Story is I have seen a website in my niche ranked on most of that niche keywords. I explore the backlink profile of that website (I'm not going to disclose that website due to some reasons SORRY for that) and what I found they have generated their backlinks through automation may be through GSA SER or any other like software. They have even used automation backlinking directly to their money site.


My Questions?
1. When everyone is talking about white hat backlinks after Google algorithm updates why that website ranked with its most of the keywords. ( Niche is very competitive).?
2. Does it really possible to rank even with such spammy backlink profile?
3. How much time Google takes to catch a website( Ranked Website was started in Jan 2018 and till March 16, it is ranked like a boss ?
4. Is there any in-depth and good resource or guide to building links through GSA SER or any related software please suggest me that or is their anyone willing to help me through this software will be much appreciated.
5. Is that website lucky or everyone can get boom through proper strategy?
