I'm not sure if this has been suggested before. I did have a browse and a few searches before posting this, but apologies if I'm just repeating what someone before me has said. I don't know about everyone else, but recently I seem to be noticing more people bumping threads that have remained inactive for months/years. It can be an easy mistake to make and I'm sure 50% of the community's members have at some point mindlessly bumped an age-old thread. Of course if you have something valuable and new to add to the thread then it's generally a good thing. All I'm thinking is adding in a little pop-up or something when trying to add to a thread that was made over X months/years ago, or has remained inactive for a certain period of time. Something along the lines of "Are you aware this thread is over X years old" or "Are you aware this thread has been inactive since __/__/____". That way if someone bumps an old thread with some repeated input or nonsensical suggestion they really have no excuse.
