[Suggestion]"Are you aware this thread is over __ old?"

I'm not sure if this has been suggested before. I did have a browse and a few searches before posting this, but apologies if I'm just repeating what someone before me has said.

I don't know about everyone else, but recently I seem to be noticing more people bumping threads that have remained inactive for months/years. It can be an easy mistake to make and I'm sure 50% of the community's members have at some point mindlessly bumped an age-old thread.

Of course if you have something valuable and new to add to the thread then it's generally a good thing.

All I'm thinking is adding in a little pop-up or something when trying to add to a thread that was made over X months/years ago, or has remained inactive for a certain period of time. Something along the lines of "Are you aware this thread is over X years old" or "Are you aware this thread has been inactive since __/__/____". That way if someone bumps an old thread with some repeated input or nonsensical suggestion they really have no excuse.

I'm sure there is an Add-on for Vbulletin with the suggested feature. I noticed a lot of threads popping up lately in Forum Suggestions & Feedback section. No offense but most of the BHW Mods & Admins are on "Ungagged fever" as of right now so there won't be any updates on the forum until the spring(My forecast ).

I wasn't aware there is an add-on but that'll make it all the easier to implement if they looked to implement the suggestion.

If you look around this section, you'll see a lot more suggestions posted recently which can all be done just by installing the Add-ons. It wouldn't take any longer than 30 mins but our Staffs have less than 10 mins free time in a day so thats what holding them back. Extending vBulletin's features is similar to installing plugins in Wordpress. No scripting knowledge required. Maybe they don't know about the backend and relying on a developer to do it for them.

I can't even imagine how much stuff they have to deal with, it's evident through the number of banned/temp-banned users alone! Maybe they're saving up all the good suggestions for one big spam-killing revamp.

I'm sure I'll remember, I tend to remember all of the less-important stuff and forget the stuff I should remember! I'm also sure that it'll get in front of the right people if community feedback is positive.
