[Suggestion] allow upgraded members to change title

Would like to suggest letting upgraded members to change the title right there:



I was thinking members could add field of specialty like "web developer", "python coder", "web designer", "smm manager" or what ever they are selling. It's just so wasted to see a double "Jr. VIP" when this spot can be utilized for something better.

Damn, thats actually extremly clever idea.

I think they held a campaign a while ago (I slept on that) where upgraded members could change their titles.. that's why you see some of them having custom ones.. they did it by request.

Anyways, I support your idea.

This has been previously requested before. It used to be a feature, but it ended up being open to too much abuse.

The main issue was that it was sometimes used by members to impersonate other members or pretend to be an official staff member on the forum, which created more opportunities for BHW users to potentially be scammed.

It also became another advertising opportunity for members, and some members would rent out their titles to advertise the services of other members. This isn't necessarily abuse, but it does open up another advertising method on the forum that needs to be taken into consideration. We might even have to come up with additional rules regarding this, which adds more load to moderators.

Because of this, it's not something we are looking at adding in the future.
