So bassicly I suck at copywriting and really need to get better at it.

According to you what is the best copywriting tutorial out there? Video tutorial prefered because I'm lazy :)

I would try hitting up YouTube and seeing what tutorial videos that they have on there. I know a member here posted a link to one a little while back and it was super informative. I would be surprised if there around more out there like that.

I would suggest to get a book Write to Sell by Andy Maslem - its one of the best books about copywriting that I've read. Covers most of the things you have to know really well, its simple and not too long.

I know this is from other forum, so if this link is not allowed admin please delete http://www.warriorforum.com/copywriting-forum/714532-write-those-words-so-blind-man-can-see-em-storytelling-resources-copywriters-marketers.html

Here's another little guide that you can use to learn the tips and tricks of SEO copywriting. Please have a look -

Thanks.

Copywriting is pretty difficult, but from what I understand that probably one of the better ways to go about it would be seeing if you can understudy someone that's already doing it. Tag weight, and structure are probably some of the most important parts.

Not to go against any advice given here because they are awesome but Gary Halbert a world class copywriter has a pretty good outline on how to start copy. Google The Gary Halbert Letter - Hands On Experience (I can't post urls - too new here)

He references classics like Claude Hopkins, John Caples...these are the foundations and any other modern course you read about is possibly a derivative of these legends. And if you are learning from a modern copywriter it's likely that their foundations started from reading these time-tested copywriting geniuses.

I really want to support what infojunky has initially said. The Gary Halbert Letter has really helped me in developing my copywriting skills.

Tested advertising methods. My life in scientific advertising.

Some legendary books on copywriting.

I also wanna check out that "words that sell book". Seems interesting.

Search Wikihow > Organize-Your-Copywriting-Portfolio

REALLY HELPFUL

It's not exactly what you're looking for but it's well worth reading to polish your copywriting skills, something to always keep in mind, very helpful.

Let me recommend Michael Masterson's 6 Figure Copywriting Course to get you started.

One of Masterson's tips is to copy high-converting copywritten content by HAND and at least 5 times. It's time consuming for sure. BUT, isn't that what we try to do when we want to get better at something?

We try to play chess like our favorite masters, shoot the ball like our Basketball idols, imitate the form of our favorite golf players, etc. - learning by osmosis. :D

Totally agree. You can't beat some of the classics. I also recommend Bill Bly and Robert Collier.

If you're willing to make a little investment, I'd recommend Jonathan Kranz's Writing Copy for Dummies. It's fairly easy to understand :D
