Hey everyone

Can anyone suggest an Android phone in the range of $300?

Don't suggest high end phones or Apple because I don't need the specs. I travel to off beat places a lot, so a cheap phone serves my purpose.

There are endless options now, so more confused than ever. Used to buy a Xiaomi phone earlier and call it a day but I'd like to explore other options too this time.

You can look at the infinix brand, I really like their devices. The market share is low but of good quality.
2.You can look at the hand used Samsung and google pixel series
 
Galaxies are my way too go. Very reliable from day 1.
 
Check out the redmi note 14 or pro, great bang for the buck and unlocked
 
Check out Blackview BV4800 rugged, cheap, and solid battery for travel.
Also look at Realme C series or Samsung M14 reliable and under budget.
Skip flagships, focus on battery, durability, and local service support.
 
Samsung A15.

With 8GB ram and 256GB storage.

Cheap but effective.
 
Samsung Galaxy A26 5G is within your price range or you might also want to check legit second-hand sellers. For the same $300 budget, you can usually pick up a phone that was originally a higher tier. I used to sell second-hand myself and had a lot of repeat customers because it really is good value for money if you stick with trusted sources.

Since you're traveling and want to try something other than Xiaomi, I'd point you to two main options:

1. Google Pixel 7a: The best camera you can possibly get for around $300. Perfect for travel photos that will look like they came from a much more expensive phone.
2. Samsung Galaxy A34/A54: The ultimate reliable workhorse. Great screen, great battery, and years of software support.

You can't go wrong with either, just depends if you value the camera (Pixel) or overall reliability and screen (Samsung) more.
 
Samsung mid range phones start lagging in no time. Stick to one of the chinese phones. Can pick any brand under BBK electronics, preferably look at OnePlus.
You can also look at Nothing phones, they have decent ones in your budget.
 
I have a Samsung Note eight and it's enormous, but I like it. The camera is not great, but it does come with a stylus pen and tons of options.

Tough choice between the new flagships this year. Having used all three, here's my quick take.

The iPhone 17 is ridiculously smooth with its Neural-Sync display, but the iPhone 16 Pro is the better value for 95% of the performance.

However, the Pixel 10 XL is in a league of its own for photos. The new "Predictive Scene Composition" AI feature is insane and feels like the future. If your number one priority is the camera, the Pixel 10 XL is the only answer.
