I am suffering from information overload. every day when I wake up, I can think of 1000 things I need to be doing

I should make new sites
write content for current and future sites
research niche x, niche y, niche z
check competitor's backlinks
buy domains for PBN
find and post comments on blogs

and I end up doing none of them. one thing that contributes to my lack of action is the uncertainty that exists in this field, and lack of immediate result. If I decide to create a site today and seo it, it will be 6 months before I see a penny, and that is, if it doesn't end up getting penalized or negative seo'ed somewhere along the way.

how can I overcome this problem? Please don't tell me "just focus" that's not gonna help.

It's time to stop thinking and start doing it. Write down a list of things you have to do, go down the list in order checking off whatever you get done and don't go skipping from one thing to the next.

You're already worried about something that hasn't happened, why not find out for yourself, experience it, learn from it. Only those that actually go through the process get the rewards.
You reap what you sow.

You need to pick one method and stick with it. Once you decide on a method then you need to focus on that method for at least 90 days to see if it is going to work out for you, IMO. I just recently started a campaign and didn't see results for an entire month and then after I stopped I started to see some sales come through. If I would have continued with what I was doing I could have probably more than quadrupled what I earned this month with that method, probably more depending on how much I scaled. Now I'm working on another project, and it has my full attention until it's complete. I'll go back to the other project after I take this as far as it can go.

Anyway I'm rambling, just make a checklist and follow through with it. If it helps, draw out a mind map of some kind. If you are going to make a new site, make ONE site and give it your full attention. Most people stop working on something just before they strike gold.

If I dare to go a little unrelated, I would advise to take some time off screen everyday to clear your mind. Personally I find meditation amazing, but find what works for you to get a clear head.

No offence but knowing you have lots to do and doing none of it I think is called Lazy.

Just start doing, and stop thinking about doing.

Taking action is what will get you places in this World.

Walk step by step. Don't think about the big picture all the time, work on the little details and get them over with.

Soon you will find a system that expedites the little details and gets them finished more quickly.

If you're looking for income now, look to get hired by people for services you can provide. It isn't in your best interest to plan ahead while getting absolutely nothing now because you have to eat, and you have bills to pay.

Inertia is difficult to overcome, getting lost in the big plan is common, but when you get past that you'll see how much easier it is to keep going off the momentum you've built.

The best thing you can do to break it is to take action and get yourself involved in implementing methods rather than overloading yourself with too much reading. And there's no point assuming the result or thinking about the repercussions of an action which you haven't taken.

Just shortlist a few methods which you think you're comfortable implementing and finalize one best method to go with. Do the groundwork required to execute the method and break the whole process into smaller tasks. Start with the smallest of all the task and complete it successfully without any hesitation and the rest happens.

Just Focus! :D

Focus on the laziness, and hate it.

Focus on the inactivity, and hate it.

Focus on your inability, and hate it.

Focus on everything that's negative, and hate it.

Then leave the focus, and concentrate on doing one thing at a time. Do the thing that you aim to do first. then DO IT. Else there is no way you can move forward. Years will pass, and you'll still be there where you presently are. People will tell you a lot of such things, but your own decision-making and action will determine whether you've climbed out of the hole or not. It also depends on how fast you react to this. Got it? If so, then begin the doing part NOW.

GL!

I am in the same boat as you. Probably best to do extensive research, pick one method and stick to it for a while. If it doesn't produce any results, move onto the next. Trial and error really.

Get a part-time job => make a few grand => outsource

1. buy keywords
2. buy content
3. buy hosting
5. buy backlinks
6. profit
repeat steps 1-5 until you profit

Some $$$ can skip steps.

If you don't do anything at all it will be way longer than 6 months before you see a penny.

I've experienced the same thing... I was jumping from one idea to another and I've never completed anything. I've lost a lot of time doing this and I didn't learn anything because all I did was start something and move on to something else. Last month I have changed my strategy. I started to focus my mind on one method/strategy and follow it through to the end. If It doesn't work out in the end who cares? at least you can use the knowledge you gain to perfect that method or put it to use in another project. In my opinion, It's all about trying things out to the fullest, fixing the problems you may encounter, and using that knowledge in the future.

The way I do this is avoid visiting the "Making Money" section. Because I know that there might be other methods there that could spark ideas in my mind and I want to avoid this. Before I start any project, I make a list of things I have to do and I hang it up on my bulletin board. Everyday when I turn on my computer and wait while it loads up I look up at the bulletin board and see the goals I have to complete. This list also tells my mind that "THIS IS WHAT I HAVE TO DO FIRST BEFORE PROCEEDING". Keeping myself organized with lists and creating a blueprint for each project helps my mind stay on the right track.

Even if It's going to take 6 months before you see a penny, at least you'll be a day closer to that goal. Good luck OP,.

THIS.
I have the same problem and the thing is that I read too much information. You need to restrict yourself from various sections on BHW and any other forums you might lurk on. Avoid "money making sections" , free giveaway sections,...anything that gives you the feeling/urge to "collect it".
Just browse once on BHW main page to see if there are any important updates in the internet marketing world (concerning YouTube, FB,...), and thats it.

Stop starting a thread every day asking this or that and take action.

So what do you guys do while you are waiting for some bought service or automated task to complete in your current project ? Just sit around and do nothing ?

You're not suffering from information overload.

You're suffering from procrastination and laziness.

It's easier for you to think of lots of other things you could do than it is to actually do something. And so you indulge your thoughts and ignore the work.

Write a To Do list
At the top of the list write in big bold letters what your goal is for the day.
Only put on the list the things you need to do to achieve that goal
Put them in order
Write the list the night before.
In the morning, shower, eat breakfast and then immediately DO THE FIRST THING ON THE LIST

Doing that first thing on the list will put you in 'work mode'.
And crossing it off will feel productive.

Try it - it works.

I would agree, and venture to add that the procrastination and laziness is fueled by insecurity.

OP, you're clearly not in a position to be taking risk, because the fear of failure paralyzes you (as you've said in your OP).

Therefore, I suggest you drop IM for a month or two entirely, go and get at least a little bit of money in the bank, and then revisit IM. You'll be glad you did - and then you'll actually execute, and might even get results.

Man. Don't read all the BS. Just imagine a working business model, and make it come true. That's all. This is not some kind of magic stuff where you spam spam spam and you become a millionare, no. People who make stable income here are business man, all of them.
