Hi SEO experts,

Today while checking GA data, I found that my traffic dropped dramatically. Then I check my keywords ranking and know that 140 keywords were dropped from top3 to out of top 3 as below pictures.

It happened 2 days ago. Have anyone got the same issues? Any suggestions in this case?

Thanks,

I've been seeing a lot of fluctuations across quite a few sites - from the middle of last month with Google's core algorithm update through this past week - however, I'm seeing some decent rebounding on some dips (especially across 1st page keywords), so I'd recommend keeping an eye on it for a few more days before panicking and you might notice some of the dips are just temporary fluctuations that bounce back.

yes me too , Google use to let us dance some times. But this time they check the serp hard

Give some time. Also, if needed check the articles & backlinks of those pages. If you find any issues resolve it.

Thanks - yes let give some time ... but this time , update gone wild!!!. But i think fundamentals need to be rethink .

Probably a google algo, see if you lost any backlinks or any spammy backlinks were created. Check if you competitor updated their content, if every thing is same then give it few more days, then buy some strong back links and see

The same happened to me. I started seeing drops in traffic yesterday and it is still happening today.

I noticed most of the drops are from Europe and in the US everything is normal.

I really have no clue what is going on, since I lost no backlinks or have any spammy ones and suddenly the rank dropped completely on some articles. Not all of them are affected, but some are completely gone from the first 10 pages. Another interesting thing is that they are indexed when I check the link with site:domain. Also, there are no manual actions on GSC and everything seems okay for now. Both offpage and onpage are great on the website and still this happens.

I hope that everything will go normal soon, but even if not, I'll continue working and build more content on it, since one of my other websites was having the same issues 6-7 months ago, where traffic dropped for a dramatic 95%, but after a couple of months it bounced back and now works fine.

Did you make analyse on pages that dropped hard? mine were related to " keyword + location" pages for ranking local services.
In addition , in November 2022, i start to see "crawled but non index pages", on some of my website (30% of them). My solution was to rewrite content to make it better , it works fine and natural index come in a week or so.

I recommend you to update your contents and to check the indexation of your contents

yes, I had the same thing, however, having abused backlinks on the deep url compared to my competitors. I added a lot of backlinks on the homepage to not be too much of an anomaly and it starts to go up

Thanks,
Right now You don't use any keyword links on your content, just wait some days.

Yes, It is because of Google Core Algorithm Update. In this update google check hard SERP.

Nop, that is not the case with my pages. They are general pages with some informative stuff in them. But this is what I've found out more about this "shuffle":

"There are early signs of a possible Google search ranking algorithm update touching down on April 3rd. The automated tracking tools are not picking it up yet, but SEOs who are up already checking their traffic. Some are saying they are seeing some reversals from the March 2023 broad core update and some are just seeing general volatility"

Here are some comments from people that I've found out around:

"All my sites would suddenly get 0 traffic for up to 6-10 HOURS then it resumes back to normal for a couple of hours before falling to 0 again."

"I'm seeing the fishing monster today, i.e. zero results for the test kw I always use at times like this. Zero results (on G only) is always a sign that the shit has hit the fan and they are re-indexing large chunks of the Internet basically!! And I know traffic will remain low until G starts delivering results for those kw. Last time was the longest ever - SIX straight days of no results. On average though its 2.5 days. So there's nothing I can do except take the weekend off!"

"Google's algorithm is truly a bipolar bitch, so ride it all you can while you come out on the winning end of any new update."

So in my opinion it's still early, at least for me to make any changes. I'll take the advice to take the weekend off and start thinking about some updates from Monday if nothing turns to better (I truly hope so)

Bests!

On my side, my websites are built with a meager amount of backlinks. That's why I am pretty concerned about the content. I think the update is focused on a new language model analysis that can distinguish challenging content with high-selling focus intent and drive them to the bottom.
