Suddenly dropped for certain keywords?

Hi there,

I was checking my rankings yesterday and for certain keywords, I seem to have completely disappeared. Does anybody know why this might have happen?

Other keywords seem to be improving in their rankings?

Anyone had this happen before?

I wouldn't worry about it for the time being, unless this has been a long term effect. I've had many sites which have gone from #3 to #30 overnight and then back to #2 the next week. Give it a few weeks before you start to panic or you'll end up worrying yourself to death.

Well how much was the rank drop? There's a lot of diff from a drop of page 1 to 2 and page 1 to 50.

I had a site ranked in the top 5 for quite some time and it completely vanished, even when i tried to do a site: search. All whitehat on that site. It came back in 3 weeks (yea i know pretty long time right) and i think that it might be a glitch with google's servers then but who knows about these things.

Same thing happened to me this weekend on "certain" keywords. But when I checked my webmaster tools...they told me my site was dropped from the index siting that is was not appropriate.
