i have a web site that makes about $10/day on average.
today the traffic almost spiked up 10 times, and revenue is $180. The traffic is still coming from google as i can see, i moved the ads to bad spots to decrease clicks, and i cant see any news that would burst out the volume of the keyword. i have no clue why so many people started searching for the keyword today.

is this safe for adsense, i didn't do anything and im sure they can see the hits are organic, but im more worried that - this is going to screw up my rankings or result in a deindex or something.

any suggestions?

if your CTR didnt drastically increase, I wouldnt worry. You should move your ads back to their normal spot

it's googles fault to rank you so well lmao, dont worry, if your concerned about your SEO methods then try to find CPA offers around your niche and be ready with them incase you face adsense ban hammer.

Well, i had a purpose when i opened the thread in Black Hat Section :) Who ranks well on niche keywords with white hat pages really? I am trying to comfort myself with that fact, that everybody would be deindex by now if they are using adsense.

My ctr is around the same give or take. But i have read rumors about "over $100" trigger manual review -> deindexing.

It's pretty normal for Google to change a ranking literally overnight. I've had that happen several times. In each case, my response was to yell "YES," not worry about it. I certainly didn't change my ads or anything else. I certainly wouldn't dream of changing the ads or anything else on a site that was performing like that!

The only thing to keep in mind is that one day or another, they'll tank it just as fast. So don't let your expenses creep up to meet the new figure.

I know, but the thing is, the ranking did not change. I was #1, still #1 for the keyword that is bringing in the traffic. Instead of 50 people searching every day, now its 500. I searched google news if there is a breaking news about it or something, nope.

Forget white hat, put on your party hat and celebrate. It appears as though the google gods have smiled upon you today.

Are you serious? Lol.

The best thing to do is transfer the domain over to me

OR

You can just paypal me the extra money you made.

People panic too much about the CTR%

As long as your site is of decent quality, doesn't infringe on copyrights, has "legal" ad placements you will be fine. Congrats on your new traffic!!!

sorry to disappoint you but i read many stories about accounts getting banned after getting quick virals

i hope your account stay safe

No worries, if you are running white hat site :)
Dont know if i can agree with that, i think its good you moved ads - After my experience i may have totally removed them - Unfortunately google doesnt ask questions they just do what they want. And it sucks to loose a totally whitehat account

Yes unfortunately i can not enjoy it comfortably right now. I got 550 hits from a keywords that has a volume of 2,000 exact per month. Whatever it is, probably temporary and it does not look good on the graph. Gives them an excuse to do a review and do whatever they want.

what are you selling something for valentines day ;) . . . its crazy today, someone claimes to build something legit and is worried about a ban . . if that's the case, then there is no point in following the rules anymore.

NOTE: This is an old thread, so to prevent further bumping, I am now closing it.
THREAD CLOSED.
