I've noticed that even with well-structured campaigns and good creatives, some of my accounts still face sudden performance drops on FB. Has anyone encountered the same situation as me and found a solution?

This is a common issue with Facebook ads. Here are a few possible causes and solutions:

Your audience may have seen your ads too many times. Try expanding your target audience or creating a new lookalike audience.
Your creatives might be getting stale. Refresh your ad copy and images/videos.
also Facebook constantly updates its algorithm, which can impact ad performance. Review your campaign data to see if there have been any significant changes in your cost per result or reach.

In my case, I found that avoiding sudden scaling and regularly rotating creatives helped stabilize performance. Usually, it’s a combination of small optimizations rather than a single fix

Yes, sudden drops happen to many advertisers it’s often tied to algorithm shifts, audience fatigue, or system-side issues rather than just your setup. Usual fixes are refreshing creatives, testing new audiences, and monitoring if the drop aligns with wider platform glitches.
In short, it’s not always your fault sometimes it’s the system recalibrating.

This is quite common, often due to algorithm changes or ad fatigue; the fix is to refresh creatives, test new audiences, and scale budgets gradually to keep performance stable.

yes my traffic has significantly dropped and I try to create the campaigns again and increase the budget

Appreciate the explanation. Now i understand the cause better and have a clearer idea of how to fix it

Thanks. I’ll try refreshing creatives and checking audience targeting

FB seems pretty bad lately high CPM.quite erratic having to change campaigns constantly

Algorithm & auction competition changes.
Repeated ads, bored viewers → CTR drops.
Bad feedback, low quality score.
Reset machine learning when changing campaigns.

Yes, this can happen due to algorithm changes or hidden account restrictions. Try refreshing your creatives and audiences, review your campaigns for compliance with Facebook’s policies, and test on another account to identify what’s causing the drop.

A few factors might be at play: algorithmic shifts, audience fatigue, or changes in Meta’s distribution. Sometimes campaigns that look fine just stop delivering the same way.

happens a lot. FB runs hidden trust scoring, not just ads. sudden drop = account wide flag, even if creatives solid. rotate warmed profiles, spread spend across BMs, keep activity drip-fed. don’t scale too sharp, mix organic signals, let algo re-trust u before pushing hard.

Many people are having the same problem as you. The Facebook market is increasingly competitive, with many new entrants, so the Facebook algorithm will redistribute the reach of your ads. You should constantly test A/B and refresh your creative to stimulate your ads to be distributed again.

I'm also new to running so I'm experiencing the same situation, sometimes the camp is stable but suddenly performance drops. I don't have a way to fix it completely, just try testing more creative and audience to see if there is any improvement.

Yes, that happens a lot Facebook’s algorithm can randomly throttle delivery or shift traffic patterns even if your setup is solid, so the best fixes are testing fresh creatives more often, duplicating campaigns into new structures, and rotating accounts/BMs to spread risk.

Yes, so many people have the same problem as you.
I think the main causes are: auction changes, weak tracking signals (Pixel or CAPI), learning reset after edits or big budget jumps, audience overlap or tired creatives. You should keep budgets steady, combine into fewer broader ad sets, check Pixel and CAPI are firing and deduping, rotate new creatives.

We always tell our clients to test their new campaigns every single day. No good ad stay good forever.
