Sudden dramatic INCREASE of traffic 0_o

Ok, so i have this autoblog that has had like 400-700 users daily. In the recent week that number jumped to 3000 0_o
A week agoi noticed i had 1000 and it kept growing by 500 every day. Its still growing with same rate, and today it reached 3016 users. How can i find out what caused this?
Analytics shows that all this traffic is from google by miscelennous keywords (2-3 users per keywords) (the site has all kinds of articles, and keywords are longtail and low frequency).

So how do i find out why is it growing like that?
I know for sure its not bots, because my adsense earnings also became 4 times bigger.

After a while, I find Google starts ranking me for keywords that I haven't focused on getting up in the rankings. I would say Google has sat down and had a look at your site (automatically) and decided you deserve to be a bit higher for some of the more inconspicuous keywords What is your new daily earning with an autoblog getting 3000 hits a day? Out of interest

good stuff for you

if your website is image heavy, it might be a lot of extra hits from Google Images for keywords some of your images are ranking for.

With an autoblog, you are going to eventually be hitting for bizarre keywords that only 2-3 people in the entire world search for, and therefore there is no competition. It is probably because Google is indexing your site faster and more thoroughly. How many articles is your blog posting every day? Is the content duplicate or spun/translated? Have you been building backlinks lately?

well. it posts a lot of articles. the blogs is actually a wpmu install of 30+ blogs. the articles arent spun or anything. just plain posted.
Im using my own blogengine spammer, that gives me 40k backlinks weekly. but ive been using it for half a year and never noticed anything near to such a dramatic increase

ok i had an in-depth look in analytics and i guess i was wrong.
Only 2000 users are from search engines.
1000 users are referral traffic from some big news sites that decided to link to my blogs (hooray)
another 1000 users are direct traffic half of which go to really long urls, so i guess they are fellow scraping bots =))))))

When you start ranking for keywords you will get bumped instantly and notice and increase in traffic literally overnight. Just keep adding to the blog and create a few articles based around those keywords if possible. Good work keep it up!
