Sudden Boost from External Sources / Google Search (channelwide)

Hello,

I'm facing an issue, that is quite concerning and is causing me some serious headache. Two of my channels are experiencing sudden, massive boosts in traffic from external sources.

- started exactly on 30th July
- external source: Google Search, device type: mobile, decent retention rate (not worse than usual)
- it's affecting dozens of videos, different topics, even two different channels in two different niches
- it's affecting both: videos, that perform well in other traffic sources (suggested, browse, search) and videos, that had been pretty dead in terms of views
- both channels run on the same device. I have run several malware checks, but couldnt find anything suspicious
- some views peak and then fall off the next day, and then repeak again
- one of my channels was flagged for invalid traffic, too, exactly one day after the spike occured (31th July), while the other one is perfectly fine in terms of "IVT"
- Creators Support claims, "spam views were detected that day, but were already filtered out"

I can't find any information about similar cases online. I fear my channels might be under some kind of attack by bots/competition. Any idea if that's looking like a bot attack or is the algorithm on Google suddenly pushing my videos on Search?

This is likely the work of your competitors who are trying to sideline you. They might be using various tactics to reduce your activity or visibility. There’s a risk of getting a shadow ban, where your content becomes invisible to others, even though it might seem fine to you. Be cautious and keep an eye on your activity to avoid such issues

Mostly from one of your competitors, they send huge external traffic to your channel, because youtube doesn't favor external traffic over suggested and browse features. This can also be a case where a group of bothers test their services on random channels, this happens a lot sadly.
