Sudden BIG drop in rankings

Have been building PBN links to my site for a while now and it has been ranking in the 1st or 2nd page for several keywords for around a month. However, recently I stopped adding new PBN links for close to a week.

Now I just checked the rankings and to my horror, many of these keywords DROPPED 20-30 positions to the 2nd, 3rd or 4th pages overnite! It is worth noting that everything was fine around 5-6 hours ago.

Is anyone experiencing the same thing? Checked GWT, and everything is clear. All the PBN sites are also indexed. Should I continue with linkbuilding, or pause for now?

Any advise will be MUCH appreciated.

It's just dancing and it's normal. You should give it more times to settle down.

Maybe so, but it was stable for close to a month? Hence I'm wondering if it is still considered a dance. And in situations like these, will you carry on adding links as per normal, or pause for the time being?

Understand it could very well be G dance but still it's kinda worrying on the whole.

Just to provide some context, here's the timeline of what actually happened:
Week 1 to 3 - Approx 3 pbn links a week (and some web2.0s), good increase in rankings to 1st or 2nd page for several keywords
Week 4 - Just 1 pbn link at the start of the week, rankings stay at 1st or 2nd page
16 hours ago - Still normal 1st or 2nd page rankings
10 hours ago - Dropped like CRAZY to 3rd or 4th page for many keywords

Any advise on what I can do now will be much appreciated!

Wait a week or two and dont do anything. G might just be testing you to see how you react. Also make you have not over optimised your anchors.

Thanks for your input. Below are some examples of what I've been doing with my anchors:

- leading golf coach in Hong Kong
- best place to learn golf
- a golf coach for all levels
- take up coaching for golf

From what you see, is this considered over optimising?
