Sudden BIG drop in Ranking...what can it be?

experienced sudden drop in google ranking from page 2 to page 9 in a day,what can it be?
I have no message in GWM,site is still indexed
Not much competition for the target keyword,still the huge drop

I could see the site coming up to 4 then slowly to top of page 4 ,the to page three,and yesterday it was on top of page 3,and suddenly i could see the fluctuation.It went on page 7 top,then to down on page 7 ,then on page 8 and so.

What could it possibly be...i have been building consistent links from few days for it...and was hoping to get rank 1 since it is not that competitive keyword...also i have good links good than the one who is ranking 1:(.

what should i do,please suggest i am new to SEO and and experienced this for first time
 
Advertise on BHW
All keywords dropped or just some keywords?
Also check for any new incoming backlinks on ahrefs and majestic, also check anchors maybe you overoptimized.

had ranking only for that keyword,how do i know if anchor is overoptimized
 
put the url into ahrefs.com and search the domain, it will tell you what percentage the kw density is.

still didnt get you,i have ahrefs account for my site,where do we exactly find kw density and what is the ideal % for it...
 
What's happening to your site is called a Google dance.
 
It'll come back ranking higher, OP don't worry, just enjoy the dance wit the serps.
 
may be you were spying other site and google thought you don't like the site which is not being clicked (yours), so it is showing to you only. Do you have rank tracker. I don't know, just a thought.
 
Give it a few days, and then see where it's at.
 
yes will give it some days and will see what's the status or i hope i will get message for penalty in case it is

Was it local keywords? google is messing around at the moment with localized content

cant say it was local but mostly target for one country...very few search from other country
 
Thought it could be a Penguin. But I checked my websites and everything is stable, so I guess it's just a dance. Give it a while. You should be afraid when you are at the same position for 1-2 months and the rankings drop after - this is scary and this is penalization.

not been there from 1-2 months,but was coming up from page 5 to page 3 in 15-20 days span,and then drop.....so do u think its just dance
