Sudden account "death"

My account is in the cars niche with 105k followers. The first 100k followers I got over a period of around 11 months and I was growing incredibly fast - some days i would grow by 600 - 700 followers and some i would grow by 1500 - 2500. Over the past 2 months I have made 3000 followers... I post my photos as usual, they get decent engagement (4000 - 5000) likes per post, but I use quite a lot of telegram groups also. My account in terms of growth seems totally dead and am thinking if it's even worth grinding anymore, since i am not making money also. Any advice would be really appreciated guys, thanks!

Also I got these 4-5k likes per photo with the help of maybe 7 - 8 rounds of telegram groups lol.. Before I didn't use these groups and most of my photos would go "viral" (7k likes and more) and In a day as i said above would grow by over 1000 followers. My content is still very high quality, i spend good time on picking an interesting description and hashtags, but I don't know what to do.

Would like to hear if anyone else has had this experience with engagement groups.

If it's totally mixed random engagement groups, it ain't going to do you much good, you want targeted niche engagement groups for real growth.
Basically, IG sees all those random account likes same as "fake likes" so your content won't go viral much, that's my theory and i'm sure it's partially true somewhat.

So try to find niche specific groups

Exactly what I was thinking! Also I am thinking that IG might be punishing me for doing a lot of follow/unfollow also. I can't find engagement groups for telegram, let alone targeted.. I am thinking from now on to post 2 - 3 times a day with very carefully picked out hashtags and to maybe use 1 group from Telegram. Because for the pat 2 - 3 weeks I've been using like 5 of them and I do think IG might see this as spam. Thanks for the response mate.

No, but I've read on several threads here that It has happened to multiple people.. I did start to use a bot and my settings were a bit too silly, so I guess I will stop it from follow/unfollow and focus on posting quality content, using engagement groups and hopefully with consistent posting I will get back to normal. Also my posts on my 110k account now get 4000 likes, but with a lot of effort from the rounds in the groups.. Before maybe 3 - 4 months I would get between 5 - 10k on my posts and easily make them top posts and gain several hundred or even thousands of followers per day.
