I am interested in purchasing a .sucks TLD but due to the expensive registry, I don't want to make the purchase and then something go wrong.

The idea of my website would be to register a famous person's name with the .sucks and open an online store with shirts/stickers/hats, etc.

But, apparently, there are cyberbullying rules with .sucks - if I register this domain under a different registar, would .sucks still have the ability to remove/lock my site?

Any help with this would be beneficial. Thank you.

If you buy a .sucks domain from another place, the .sucks rules still apply. So, be sure to follow their rules to avoid problems.

Can any registrar lock your domain so you can not transfer it to another webhost/registrar, or is gofuckdaddy the only one who doing this?

The key thing here isn't just the registrar but the TLD's regulations themselves. Even if you register with a different registrar, the rules governing the .sucks domain still apply. These rules are pretty stringent when it comes to content that could be considered defamatory or cyberbullying.

If the registrar don't come for you, the "Famous Person" will come for you.

Generally it not really a great idea

Depends on the nature of person you are targeting. Some people know that it pays to even have negative personality. You can even make an undeclared official agreement with the person to keep yourself covered.

lmao , who created that TLD and why is it accepted
