Simple....

.....whenever you want to register a domain name, simply do this.....

Register your domain name as "com-----0.com"

By doing this, you can add as many subdomains as you want meaning that you don't have to buy 1 million domains.

Example: You want to promote blockbuster...

you could have..... http://www.blockbuster.com-----0.com

As a normal web user, I wouldn't look at that twice before clicking it, especially when its in an adwords ad and lets you get around the duplicate domain rule in adwords.

Please do not sell this ......

many ppl will find it as a wrong domain and instead of going to:

www.keyword.com---0.com

they might get extra smart and go to:

www.keyword.com

and wola, u just started helping ur own competition

This is a good trick, do not be deterred. I would not share if this trick didn't help me with seo, and adwords.

Nice Idea abhi, but trust, no normal person pays that much attention to domain name, especally when it looks good at the beginning and end.

I have been using a similar trick for quite a while now.
I register names such as limitedoffer.com or freetrialoffer.com. Then I just add whatever subdomain that is appropriate to my offer. For instance I could use ipod.limitedoffer.com or quicken.freetrialoffer.com. The OP is correct in his assessment that most people are not that observant when it comes to domains. Besides, most people see what they want to see, so if they see the word free in combination with whatever search term they have in mind, this strategy works perfectly.

That's a great trick. However, I got a question, does Google like these kind of domain names?

I do a similar trick. I bought "com-promopage.info" so when I set up subdomains it reads "www*consumerdirect.com-promopage.info" this is an attempt to make it look like the page they are going to is a special promotion and what not. has worked very well with CL ads and adwords display url

or yahoo.com-seosecretlab and so on. Though it may be limited unless you branch off into andyjenkins.com-seosecretlab or stompernet.com-seosecretlab.info and you promote seo products. As far as if this method helps with SEO I haven't discovered anything to lead me to believe you will get High SERPS but I have never truly tried.

is putting a trademark in a subdomain not the same as putting it in the actual domain? Cause if it is thats not a good idea

So, how does this work exactly then with AdWords and affiliate URLs? Are you saying to buy a domain like www*example.com---0.com, use this as your display URL and then redirect this link to www*example.com? Is this ok with AdWords policies?

Maybe I'm not understanding this right...
