How We Scaled A Brand To 7-Figures Using Creative Sequencing
I want to share exactly how we scaled these guys to 1million in sales. No fluff, no ‘guru’ tactics. Just exactly what we’re doing.
Let’s jump in…
Here’s what we’ll cover:
TOF → Branding ads
TOF → Direct response ads
MOF → Social proof stage
BOF → Conversions
Alright, I’ll just break down what our campaign structure looks like, along with the creatives/copy we’re using.
TOF Branding Ads (Creatives)
Your content will be so so important in 2021.
With all of the changes coming to the platform, content will be number 1. Fancy media buying strategies will only get you so far.
Here’s what we’re doing -
The 1st type of video I LOVE to use/create is a branding video.
These videos can be funny/entertaining/informational
They usually hook the viewers attention and aducate while simultaneously building trust.
Here’s some great examples to grab inspiration from:
-Lumin Skin Care...Skincare
-Vital proteins...The name says it all
-Dr. Squatch...the best soap in the world (I actually bought because of their video lol)
-GOLI….Healthy fruit snacks...kinda
-Cuts...shirts for men
Just go to ads library and take a look at some of their branding videos.
The whole idea behind this video is to gain mass amounts of attention from new potential buyers.
We can retarget all video views later on.
TOF Direct response (Creatives)
These can be either pictures or videos, I’ve seen success with both.
The main difference is there is a clear CTA.
Most direct response ads lay out some major benefits of the product and drive incentive by offering a discount.
Pretty simple. You can check out the brands I mentioned above ^ for more inspiration.
So, for these guys we had 3 Branding videos running along with 5-7 direct response ads.
Phase 1 → TOF Branding
ADSET 1 - Site LAA 1% - 2-3 branding creatives
ADSET 2 - Site LAA 5% - 2-3 branding creatives
ADSET 3 - Page LAA 1% - 2-3 branding creatives
ADSET 4 - Page LAA 5% - 2-3 branding creatives
ADSET 5,6,7 - Interest targeting - 2-3 branding creatives
ADSET 8 - Wide Open - 2-3 branding creatives
It’s a pretty straight forward campaign structure.
We’re looking to find 3-6 winning audiences to maintain stable growth.
Here’s how we structure our branding copy:
(Benefit) + (mechanism) or (huge promise/claim) or (quote)

This copy variation is currently killing it.
Let’s move on…
Phase 2 → TOF Direct Response
We’re using the same campaign structure as above ^, but we rotate through different interests.
Looks like this:
ADSET 1 - Site LAA 1% - 5 Direct response creatives
ADSET 2 - Site LAA 5% - 5 Direct response creatives
ADSET 3 - Page LAA 1% - 5 Direct response creatives
ADSET 4 - Page LAA 5% - 5 Direct response creatives
ADSET 5,6,7 - Interest targeting - 5 Direct response creatives
ADSET 8 - Wide Open - 5 Direct response creatives
Here’s how we structure our direct response copy:

Social proof claim (optional)
Link + discount code
Alright, Let’s move on to the next phase.
Phase 3 → MOF Social Proof Stage
I always say it...the main goal of MOF is to build tremendous amounts of trust.
We do this through user generated content
Good example of UGC:
-Unboxing videos
-testimonials
-first impression video
We’re hitting these guys for the 2nd or 3rd time, so we’re trying to push them over the edge.
This is how we’re structuring the campaign:
ADSET 1 - Video Views 25%
ADSET 2 - Video Views 50%
ADSET 3 - Video Views 75% +
ADSET 4 - IG Page Engagements
ADSET 5 - FB Page Engagements
ADSET 6 - IG Post or Ad Engagements
ADSET 7 - FB Post or Ad Engagements
We purposely disclude any website visitors in this campaign.
We want to target everyone who has engaged with our ads but HAS NOT been to our website.
Our ad copy is very similar to TOF branding, but we put a bigger emphasis on social proof.
Here’s what it looks like:
Massive social proof claim
Different benefit

As you can see, very similar, just a slightly different layout.
Let’s move on to BOF…
Phase 4 → BOF retargeting
We’ve got a pretty cool drip sequence going for these guys.
(I'm going to pull this from of my previous post...It might look familiar lol)
Our BOF campaigns are usually pretty simple, but for brands spending 1k+/day we implement something called BOF drip sequence.
It’s EXTREMELY effective, but only works at higher budgets.
Let’s break it down…
Main idea - This is a 12-day drip sequence that shows potential customers a different angle every 3 days to convert the maximum % of web viewers.
Here’s what the sequence looks like:
3 DAYS - Product focused creatives/messaging
3 DAYS - Brand focused creatives/messaging
3 DAYS - Testimonials
3 DAYS - Impact focused (the impact your brand/product has on the world)
If someone still doesn't buy after all of this...I'm not sure what to tell you lol.
As you can see, we retarget with 4 different angles.
Not everyone will resonate with the same angle, which is what makes this so effective.
Again - this only works with higher budgets (1k/day)
That’s pretty much it, guys.
I'm going to end it here because I'm coming up on 6 pages lol.
One last thing - I’d like to thank this community. Thank you to all admins for allowing me to share my successes, and thank you to all members for supporting!
