Success Rates for commenting on moderated blogs?

So I was curious what kind of approval rate to expect when I comment on moderated blogs with a generic comment. What have you guys been getting? I would guess something like 1-5%

I would say closer to 1% than 5%... all depends on your comments and targets though.

It depends on many factors. A few that come into my mind right now:

1. Does the moderated blog have Akismet installed and running?
2. Do you comment with your keyword or some random name?
3. Is your domain looking way too spammy?
4. Do you comment on old or new posts?
5. Is your niche tech-savvy?
etc.

1% success rate would be amazing

for the amount of work you will be throwing on blog commenting, the return would be close to ZERO.
99.99 of blogs commenting is worthless. You are much better with forum postings.

I f you use moderated blogs it helps if you read the post and if you have a real opinion, that means manual commeting is a must. The problem is that if you use the exact keywords of your website you will probably not get true the moderator, but in some cases if you twik your method you can get good results.
