You'd be surprised that your social life can actually help your business. Connections are beyond important.
This is true only to a point.
To some people, being social is going out to the movies everyday.
To others, being social is playing at your local golf/tennis club, etc.
If you're an internet marketer, the best partners you will find are in the BHW JV section.
If you're an offline businessman, then yes, socializing is important so you can make more friends = possible business connections.
However, just partying hard every night and getting poon is a different kind of socializing.
So do what works.
I'm only a high school student, and I usually have 1 hour and 20 minutes for lunch.
I noticed that I was pretty much wasting that time eating lunch... Well seriously. My campus allows us to leave whenever we want, as long as we come back for class. So I usually go with friends to the mall everyday and spent lots of $$ for a lunch. To be honest, this gets repetitive and boring (but the food is alright). I don't meet anyone new, and it's just bleh..
So I decided to brown bag my lunch and eat it in class (my teachers let me), and when lunch time comes I do my homework in the school library.
That way, when I come home I have more time to focus on my "projects" (IM, PUA, etc.)
I know, some people think I'm a loser who does homework doing lunch, well I don't really give a fuck because I am above the influence (everybody's trying to be popular these days) and I will never see my high school friends again, and college is a totally new life. So I gotta focus on what is productive..
