Pics will be added in May/June
Today I signed on a client in the green/renewable tech industry for $32,000 per month for 1 year with automatic renewal and a 13% increase in cost each year to keep up with inflation. The work starts in May with one month worth of pay up front and the first pay date is June 1st (2013). In May, I plan to rent out an office that will cater specifically to the clients company. I'm going to try to keep the office local to the company so it's easily within reach of the client.
You don't care about the specifics of all of that, I know. What you want to know is "HOW?"
Quick Answer: Originality, Networking - Taking action.
Long Answer: I discovered BHW in 2011 when I became fed up with working in a shipping warehouse for $350 a week. I was depressed that I had gotten absolutely nowhere in life and was desperate to do something, ANYTHING that could get me the fuck out of that shitty job and more so, my shitty town. So I went online and Googled something along the lines of: "quick easy money method forums". That search led me to the black and gold pages of what I can only describe as the single most inspirational and amazing place in all of internet land; Black Hat World.com. I didn't bother with the lazy (and what I see as temporary) way of IM, I went straight to Offline Marketing. My life took off from there. It's now been 2 years and boy has it been a fucking trip.
After about one year of being COMPLETELY unsuccessful at everything IM, I was on Google Maps looking for local businesses to ring up the next day for one of my directories. I accidentally dropped the street view marker onto a building and it took me to what I thought was street view inside. After doing further information, I learned that it was in-fact "Google Business Photos", a street view powered virtual tour for a business. So I called up several of the listed photographers, learned everything I could about it and decided that this could be my foot in the door to new IM clients.
Being a car guy, I thought "man, imagine if you could tour dealerships and even the cars themselves this way". So I looked up high end car dealerships on Maps, saw a ton of them and clicked on a Ferrari dealership in my state. I then picked up the phone and told my nervousness to fuck off. The receptionist loved the idea and put me through to the marketing director who also loved it. By the end of the conversation, we closed for 7 dealerships on the spot. The client was impressed by the value of the service and the return it brought and was spreading my name around like crazy. His word alone brought me 20 or so different clients.
After about 8 months, the Ferrari dealership client put me in contact with a guy launching a nano technology business as part of his overall green tech company who needed a website and marketing in time for a huge military expo here in the US.
And here we are today. This morning he signed 2 copies of the contract and I'm set for $32,000 per month just to my pocket and a working budget of 7 figures. I have nobody to thank but all of you for your motivation, inspiration, and knowledge. I really do appreciate it.
Ask as many questions as you wan't and I'll do my best to answer. Just please no "who", "what", "when" or "where".
