So I have a good buddy who lives in cambridge mass. He has good contacts throughout the educational system around boston. I am thinking about having him find people working in the universities who have the capability of posting articles and links at maybe hrvard/tfts/bston college/bston university etc etc and then doing a link selling service here on bhw. I recommended last night that a guy working at a uni do just that. but what the hell maybe i could set that up for myself. so i have questions

could you plant articles on a university website without navigational links? as in if the article was hosted on the website but there were no inbound links from the rest of the website, so that discovery would remain very hard unless you knew the url. Would that effect page rank of the links?

what else are problems and pitfalls you would expect from trying to set up a service like this?

one of the other big problems is how does someone post without leaving a footprint which might cost them their job. if anyone could answer that it would be half the battle

talked to my guy and yes he could find people at most of the schools on the beantown area but yes they have to be protected.
