Substack or medium?

Substack ranks for low competition keywords and the keywords that no one is going after.
Keywords that have allintitle like 0 or maybe 1.
It can't even rank for keywords with very little competition.
Its a waste of time in my opinion. Substacks have very little authority.
That could be because substacks get created on subdomains and we know google treats most subdomains as a different and new sites.

It depends on your goal. Medium is better for built in discovery and reaching new readers quickly, while substack is better for building your own email list and long term audience you actually own.
