Subscriber Pick Up Number! Any Idea!

I've seen many YouTube channels, they grow tremendously after reaching some amount of subscribers. As example, some channel pick up by achieving 5000 subscriber milestone. Some gets pick up after 2K ... some required 10000 to 20000 subscribers to pick up.

I am asking about which amount of subscriber will indicate the trust, popularity and worthy channel to subscribe.

Let me give you one example.

You landed on one good video. But, they don't have lots of subscribers ! Most of people won't subscribe that channels which has lower subscriber count.

If you landed on 10000+ or 50000 subscribed channel, then, obiviously you want to be a part of that big community. So,

Which number is good for pick up subscriber rate.

Whats the real reason behind this! popularity or just quality!

Yes that's right, We have a normal mindset if you see an influential user or profile you are more likely to follow them instead of a new user.
No one can quote a good pickup count as it may vary but as per experience it should be somewhere around 5000-10000 subs.
