Hey everyone,

I’m running a YouTube channel and getting decent views from Shorts. But my subscribe rate is only around 0.2%.
The channel isn’t faceless, and the Shorts are well-edited with a proper CTA.

Just wondering, is this subscribe rate normal? Or is it considered low?

This rate is considered low. You are producing content, but are you getting users to subscribe to you?

Many of the shorts videos I watch have a subscribe animation, which may be a reminder to the user. What are your retention rates? Your videos may be boring to users, and they may skip your video before even reaching the halfway point.

There are many reasons for this, but an ideal subscription rate is between 0.4% and 1% or higher.

I’ll be testing videos with subscribe animation . Also, my content is targeted to a small niche audience, so maybe that’s why the subscribe rate is low.

Yes, that's a possibility. Do you have any competitors? If so, you need to keep track of them as well.

If their subscriber growth is higher than yours, it means you're missing something. You can learn what you're missing or what you need to improve by analyzing their videos in more detail.
