Are there any ThemeForest authors on BHW?
Can you share some tips on how to get accepted on TF?

Me and my friend tried submitting a template, but it got rejected, so i'm seeking for advice :)

Well, we submitted a template there and it got rejected, without a specific reason. I don't see our template being any worse than others there. So, i'm just curious to know about their criteria - maybe there's a TF insider here on BHW :)

Have you checked their FAQ and Rules ? They list a lot of factors that could be the reason.

Yes, i have read them. But, still.
It's really annoying they don't give you more info on what you should change. Like wandering in the dark...

Can someone tell me what errors do they look for in the code?
And also, some practical guidelines on creating help files.

Their community really seems empty thesedays.

Ask others in the forum right after you get denied. If enough speak up the judge will spill the beans.

When designing put as much effort into it as you would a $150K website. Imagine that employees or business owners will end up looking at their crappy website for 3-5+ years; that's on the low end too. (At least, judging by the amount of people that like waving their '90s design in my face.)

Usually when you sit back, and sleep on it, you realize why it got turned down. They are getting a little cocky though.

As for that forum being dead, that's because everyone there is in direct competiton with each other. It's not like this place, where everyone can hide behind aliases and fake pictures. They have to stare at the competition all day. If that's not enough they all know exactly how much money each other is pulling in.

I def wouldn't hang out there; that's for sure. Feel free to post/PM if you still have trouble getting it accepted. (I actually came here just to see if anyone good is JVing on some themes.)

For code you want to it to be perfect accross the main browsers, no IE bugs, or any imperfections. They also like the code neat as well. Makes it easier for the customer's to edit them.

Seriously, there's a reason why no ones going to hand out advice. I had to sit digging on their forums for months just to get up to speed with everyone else. They really stop using the forums for overly strategic questions/info though, so you have to do some hardcore searching online and sort through the people that have customized a template and the ones that are pumping out 30 per quarter. Good luck. Feel free to reach out.
