I wouldn't trust these data entry jobs, many of them aren't legit. Especially if they ask you to send money to them for some kind of "training materials" you can be sure that it is a scam.

Sorry to say, but most of these sites look like scams.
Think about it, they claim you can make $50/hr filling out forms, and that its so simple, anyone can do it.
If this were true, you would see 16 year old kids driving around in Rolls Royce.

Besides, if a company needs forms filled (that cannot be filled out by an automated system), they can simply outsource it to some 3rd world country, where people will be willing to do it for $2-$3 an hour or even less. Why would they pay people thousands of dollars a month like they claim they do, to make such a simple task??

Am not sure exactly how these sites work, but its either:
1- They charge you a fee for "training", or "membership", and then just run away with your money.
2- The "data entry" consists of writing PPC ads & running them (at YOUR expense probably) and promoting the same site to get people to join, and you get a portion of the member fee as affiliates comission.
This seems like a variation of the "stuffing envelopes" scam. You basically make money by selling a program that tells people to sell that program to make money.
3- They let you join, collect membership fee and then you find out that: there is no current work available for you, or they make you fill out forms, and then give a pathetic excuse not to pay you (work not up to quality standards, etc).

If you need to make some money and you happen to like "filling out forms", maybe you can join some "Get paid to complete surveys" (there are lots of FREE ones out there) site, or go to a forum like DP, and post in the "help wanted" section that you want to fill out offers or write articles.
People will pay you a few dollars to do such work.

However, you will definitely NOT be making $50 an hour, thats for sure.

Virtually all of these are a camouflaged form of using PPC. They make it sound so easy but beware you could lose your pants if you are not familiar with the Adwords game
    :(

There are a few legit companies that do pay but most are shabby.

There actually ARE things like transcription jobs out there. Data-entry type.. Most are scams, as mentioned. You should NEVER, EVER pay to work for someone.

These legitimate opportunities are hard to find... But, they don't fit into the theme of this forum, anyway :p
