Submitting a Sitemap to Google and Bing Without Website Verification

I would like to know if it’s possible to submit a sitemap to Google and Bing without verifying the website in Google Search Console.

Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You can't submit a sitemap to Google or Bing without verifying the site first.
 
You can't submit the sitemap unless you have the website verified,
But you can include the sitemap(s) in robots.txt or some footer/sidebar/menu link to it so it would be crawled

The site has to be verified before submiting the sitemap.

Hey man, how to do that? I’m running a test website forum , and trying to rank pages but i can only rank the website url .
I’m using free CMS , MyBB ( no plugins added).
again, test website. I’m testing and trying everything i’m learning here

Hey ^^

Well, you have to install a myBB SEO mod that will generate a sitemap for you,
Then add the sitemap URL to robots.txt as the following:
Code: 
Sitemap: https://www.yourwebsite.com/sitemap.xml
You can link to the sitemap from the footer links, that usually should do the work

Hi @chris barker ,

It's not possible to submit the sitemap without the verification and actually it won't be make your site indexed.

May I know why you are looking for this kind of method?

I'm cloaking my site content and a bit worried that GSC might catch me.

Well, i found a MyBB SEO plugin , installed in the website and isn’t working well so i must update the code or fix it my own first.

But , once the plugin was installed i figure out that The website’s links was changed in a positive manner for example The default link is forumdisplay.php?= and after was Forum-The-Thread-Tittle which i guess is better to rank and get found at google.

Let me fix first the plugin and then i will try the sitemap, let’s see how is it going.

I'm pretty sure there are a handful of plugins for that last time I've checked,
You can try this one: https://community.mybb.com/mods.php?action=view&pid=1511,
It should do the work for both changing the permalinks & generating a sitemap

Wanted to update you.
Got installed the sitemap (PHP file) , i added to google search console as recently learned and now everything its cool. At least they said that.
Now, the sitemap changed the urls to .html , but the url is the same
Example . Forum-3.html
Forum-2.html

My question, will Google rank the website even with this urls??
As i’m all testing , i will create another forum and do the same and try how fast its ranking .

No problem, glad to help ^^

If most of the forum/website URLs are already indexed, you have to either revert the changes for the permalinks or redirect them,
If the old URLs are different, they'll be seen as 404s for Google bots when they get crawled again,

Also, while Google is crawling the new URLs, they'll be seen as duplicates, you don't want any of these,
It's not a critical problem, the old URLs will get deindexed eventually, and the new ones will take place, but it's not really ideal to leave it this way,

You can add a Regex redirect based on the old URLs structure, so everything will be redirected based on the new structure,
Use any AI tool and give it the old/new structure and you'll get the htaccess file content that should do the work
 
Google requires verification to confirm you own the website or have the authority to manage it. Without verification, you cannot use Google Search Console to submit a sitemap.
 
Why would you want to do that in the first place?
