subdomains Ranking

I saw alot of subdomains ranking for very competitive keyword , some of these subdomains come from some really powerfull domain that probably " you can't get " but apparently ppl can im not sure how either by hacking the website or some else but i can't get myself to belive you could hack some of these websites to get their subdomains . Have you seen this tactic being used im pretty sure some of you did cuz recently its more and more used

NOTE : the subdomains do not come from the us.com/uk.com and these country code domains but i literally saw one for the officiel newyork website and even the xbox website which is crazy

Most of the time those subdomains rank from strong, aged domains or expired sites.. not hacking.

i find it insane that there is a loophole that gives you the ability to get a lost subdomain and that thing ranks like crazy

We are seeing this a lot in the Turkish igaming market, where they have an authority domain, canonical to an AI generated site, and they're ranking overnight for our brand keywords. Does anyone know how to do this?

Google trusts the main domain, so those subdomains get a boost but once discovered, they usually get wiped or lose rankings pretty fast.

Do you know of anyone who can replicate these tactics? When they appear for our keywords, it affects our traffic and conversion numbers, so we need a way to counteract.

Yeah it’s a real tactic but not hacking most of time, usually it’s stuff like open subdomain systems, expired or forgotten subdomains, or misconfigurations people take over, so they get authority from the main domain and rank fast, but it’s not stable and can get removed anytime.

Anyone here providing service like this?

Yeah this tactic exists and a lot of the time it is abandoned subdomain takeovers or misconfigured hosting not straight up hacking. Powerful root domains pass insane trust so even weak pages can rank fast on subdomains. Usually it works until the owner notices and cleans it up.

Yeah, this tactic definitely exists and it has become more common recently.

But it’s not always “hacking” in the movie-style sense. A lot of the time it’s:

forgotten subdomains
misconfigured DNS
abandoned cloud apps
open hosting panels
old partner/student/project subdomains
takeover vulnerabilities

Sometimes huge sites accidentally leave subdomains pointing to expired services, and people claim them. That’s why you occasionally see weird pages ranking on domains related to places like or official city/government sites.

The reason it works is because Google already highly trusts the root domain, so the subdomain can inherit some authority and get indexed/ranked much faster than a fresh standalone domain.

That said, these usually don’t last forever. Once detected, they often get removed, deindexed, or taken back by the company. Google also seems much stricter with obvious parasite/subdomain abuse now compared to a few years ago.
