Subdomains and PR question

I've acquired a PR7 domain.
Majority of the links go to sub1.domain.com and sub2.domain.com yet the www.domain.com has the high PR.
I want to take advantage of the PR and link juice, but I'm not sure how I should handle it. The domain is expired, so I can't check the PR of the subdomains, any tools I use say they can't access the page.

Should I just 301 the subdomains to the main domain?
Should I put up sub domains as sub pages?

Assuming that you renewed the domain pretty quick, in many cases expiring for a short time does not have a huge effect on PR (again, in many cases... not all).

Regarding the subs and the main domain, what you have created is roughly the equivilant of a linkwheel (if subs are interlinked) or a link-push (subs not interlinked). Either of these structures will boost the main domain. Thus the main domain having a higher PR.

I usually tried to avoid interlinking subs and also avoided links going both directions from the subs to the mains, and concentrated on one or the other, and even sometimes ignored the main domain. Reason for this is to help avoid a "link farming" penalty before it could happen.

All that being said, put your money links and banners on the ones with the traffic instead of trying to alter the traffic. Why fight G_gl ?? Just work with what the G is giving. Just one guy's opinion.

look for the indexed pages, check pr of those indexed pages..make pages on site having exact url .

I did, but for some reason not much is showing up, I don't know if it's because the site was possibly owned my one of those generic pages for the last couple years or what. The main domain shows up but that's it. If I put in sub.domain.com it doens't show up, but sites that link to the page show up. It's kinda wierd. Maybe subdomains were banned? Or maybe just deindexed because they've been gone for so long?

I got it before it expired, so I still have the original creation date. But the thing is, I can't find the content of the subdomains in archive, or anything, and see how they were linked.

Kind of a wierd situation.
