How would I find whois data of a subdomain?

For example if i'm trying to rank for: key word
and there is a site called keyword.domain.com ranked one is there any way to find out the age of the subdomain. The domain WHOIS may say dd-mm-yyyy but the subdomain could of been registered a few months later.

    Thanks.

Unless it's a public web2.0 site, you dont need to register subdomain. You just create them just like directories.

There isn't any registration data tied to subdomains, only the tld itself, but I would try different archive and cache sites to see when you can find the earliest available mirror. Also do an advanced Google search with the "site:" search parameter and sort by oldest first.

    Cheers
