Subdomain or Real Domain for new e-book website

Hey guys,

I've got a quick question:

I'm going to be launching an e-book in the near future that has to do with small business promotion (online and offline).

I already have a reputable business that does the service that the e-book is describing. Do you guys think it would be a better choice to:

For example the title will be "Moneybook" and the webpage of our business is SBexposure

A) Do a sub domain off of my main business site?
Moneybook.SBexposure.com

This would allow people to directly see the website, know that we have a reputation, and show prices that are normally charged etc. Would it also help on SEO for the e-book?

B) Create a new domain
Moneybook.com

This would make the website url smaller and easier to type in, and maybe be better for SEO? I'm not sure..

Any help here would be appreciated.

It depends on a few things. How much authority does your current site have? Building a sub-domain on a trusted site should help get it ranked quicker if you were hoping for some traditional SEO traffic. Be sure to take care of the internal linking. Also if the book is designed to upsell your actual services, having it connected to the site would be a good idea as well.

As far as the separate domain. Pick it up and redirect it to your site. You can use that on different advertising mediums, and make it a memorable url, that's both easy to remember and short enough to type out.
