Subdomain or domain for Web 2.0?

If you create free domain in Web 2.0 means you can get only subdomains like coolstuff.weebly.com

I think he's asking whether or not you're supposed to use the subdomain or get your own private domain. But from my understanding, the whole purpose of a web 2.0 is that you get part of the domain authority from the subdomain?
Unless you are using an expired domain that already has backlinks/domain authority.
Yes that's what I was asking and I thiink you're right. Ill just use the subdomain, thank you!

Web 2.0 actually means creating blogs on different blogging platform under their sub domains. So go with sub domain for creating web 2.0 sites.

Hijacking a bit the topic, and since I'm kind of outdated on this subject. What kind of blog platforms still allow that we grab an expired domain?

I actually don't know about expired 2.0 domains, I was referring to expired domains set up for the purpose of a PBN. But I have heard of expired blog domains that have links and authority, not sure which platforms you can find them on though.
