Sub-Domain or Sub-directory?

I was wondering right... So If i have a niche and i am going after long tail keywords whats better to setup sub domains or sub-directory?

Lets say my niche is weight loss and im going after "big bobs weight loss" and "i'm not fat weight loss"
I get the domain weightloss.com ........ could be usefull for other things later also.
So what i wanted to do was setup a BLOG on each long tail. Mine being: "big bobs weight loss" and "i'm not fat weight loss".
Basicly i just want to know what would be better? Should i do bigbobsweightloss.weightloss.com or weightloss.com/bigbobsweightloss/

OR should i not even do a blog on each one and just making it into a regualar wp post with just content and have it be the normal way of weightloss.com/category/bigbobsweightloss ?

What do you guys think will be better for better ranking, indexing.....

Don't know if i'm making any sense here, i can explain it better i think if need be.

I advise you to use sub-domains, very effective for me.
Each sub-domain is ranked as an independent website, much better.

Yea thanks a lot, i was also thinking sub-domains as they look better and usually mean its just another blog or site being hosted on the main domain. Thanks for the info =-]

I would do subdomains as well, and instead of bigbobsweightloss.weightloss.com do bigbobs.weightloss.com

In my case, I have bigbobsweightloss.weightloss.com and it's well ranked.
I don't know if it can be bad...

Are you not worried that this will look similar to keyword stuffing? Dont forget, sometimes less is more...

Yes i was actually thinking that when i was typing it out.
I think im going going to stick to the
/.../
style.

Basically, I am going to setup about 7-10 subdomain blogs that target long tail keywords for the niche that i have as the main domain like posted before.
Each domain will have spinned content and will be able to pass detection from various sources. I am in the process of handling twitter and facebook. In the process means getting likes, and quality followers. I've currently setup 45 twitter and facebook accounts via proxy's and valid emails for the past few days have been running tweetattacks on getting followers. Each account currently has over 350 followers. Not to bad i guess =-] Will keep doing this for how every long i need. Then in a few days i should have all the subdomained blogs the way i want it (3 posts, template, plugins) before proceeding to start my sesnuke =-]
