Stupid

Hahaha you finally got married and funded a family to be able to fill your dish washer more quickly :D

haha not really. But I did get a cat. Someone told me cats can be washed great in a dishwasher. So in a day or two when it's almost full, I'll throw the cat in there and run it. Problem solved.

I'm joking jeez :p

You know, I've made comments and even a thread in the past on this forum about how much I hate wordpress updates, and I made even more comments about how much I hate updates in general.

So yesterday the plugins "Contact Form 7" and "Contact Form 7 Conditionals" update.

I try to submit the form now = error

I downgrade to the versions from yesterday = works

It's always the same old story with Wordpress. The only way to have a pain-free site is to disable all updates and keep them disabled and never update. Run with this for a few years, no more than 10 years, and then do a complete theme change to update your shit, and then do it again.

This seems to be the best course of action. Because updating shit, and shit breaking left and right (without you knowing that something broke) is just a major pain in the ass.

Referring to this...

I get an email from Wordfence now:

Critical Problems:

* The Plugin "WP Socializer" has been removed from wordpress.org.

You see? This shit never ends. Every day you're chasing your tail like an asshole updating and breaking shit and looking for replacements for outdated plugins and... it just never stops.

My HTML and Laravel sites laugh at my wordpress sites for being such babies.

Stop whining, and build html sites then. Your new girl friend needs her new shiny stuff. Make more money in the time it takes you to figure out shit instead. Go buy some chicken breasts to her, she would love that.

I will. I have 2 wordpress sites, and I'll keep them wordpress so that I stay in that game a little bit. But mostly because them being on wordpress is sort of a grandfathered in type thing.

But any future sites I make, there are almost 0 chances I do wordpress.

I just want sites where I set up everything up, and it works for 79 years without requiring any dicking around on my part :)

Good, go buy that chicken now, and share a cozy meal with candles with her. She is your future now Catman.
